Applied Element Method Theory and ApplicationThis course is designed specifically for pre-approved Research and Development activities and Academic Universities. This curriculum is more specifically for those who require an understanding of the physics and methodology behind Extreme Loading® Technology to pursue research and analysis activities and is not intended for commercial use. (By appointment) Course DescriptionApplied Element Method (AEM) Theory and ApplicationDesigned exclusively for pre-approved Research and Development activities and Academic Universities the course curriculum has been created specifically for those requiring an understanding of the physics, principles, and methodology behind Extreme Loading® Technology (ELT) and wishing to pursue research and analysis activities. It is not intended for commercial use. Participants will discuss all technical aspects of AEM. This course is scheduled by appointment only. Verification Samples & SimulationsParticipants will be introduced to numerous verification samples and simulations using Extreme Loading for Structures software which implements the AEM technology. Seismic and blast analysis, immaculate element removal (IER), glass analysis and other extreme loading events and capabilities will be presented for discussion and analysis purposes. ELS Software DemonstrationsDuring this three day course ASI will demonstrate how it created models for the demolition of the Charlotte Coliseum and predicted potential failure modes for multiple structures subjected to extreme loading conditions. ELS SoftwareELS Training for Engineers (ASI-ELS0801) must be completed to be eligible to license the ELS software. Applied Element Method (AEM) Theory and Application (ASI-AEM0803) is designed specifically for those interested in the science behind the technology. Who Should Attend
